VAN DOUGH’S VISION
Baking is an art form that demands precision, meticulousness, and an unwavering commitment to culinary aesthetics, flavor, and refinement. Throughout the process, the artisan is immersed in the aromatic essence of flour, butter, and sugar, using skillful hands to shape and transform the dough.
For Van Dough, the dough is more than just an ingredient; it possesses its own language, “dancing” under the expert touch of the baker. When the warm pastries emerge from the oven, they boast a golden, lustrous finish that naturally captivates customers. Recognizing this distinctiveness, Van Dough envisioned a logo that celebrates the artistry and inherent beauty of the Dough, while seamlessly integrating the image of the Vietnamese Bánh Mì—one of the brand’s signature best-sellers.




THE LOGO DESIGN APPROACH
After conducting market research and gaining a deep understanding of the client’s aspirations and the product’s soul, The Monest decided on a product-centric approach. This direction highlights Van Dough’s signature offerings while capturing the artistic spirit and “breathing life” into the dough.
Two flagship products were selected as the core elements of the logo: the Vietnamese Bánh Mì and the Croissant. Both products are meticulously crafted by Van Dough at every stage to ensure visual beauty and authentic flavor. The Monest translated this concept into a design language featuring a stylized coiled dough motif. The iconic Bánh Mì is subtly integrated using negative space at the center, creating a cohesive logo that truly embodies the essence of the brand.


SLOGAN CONCEPT
In addition to a distinctive visual identity, the key element that resonates with customers and builds a lasting connection with a business is a slogan that effectively communicates the brand’s core message. During the development of the slogan for Van Dough, The Monest team conducted extensive product tastings to fully immerse themselves in the brand’s unique flavor profiles.
This sensory experience allowed the team to distill and refine the most precise language to represent their signature offerings, culminating in the message: “Taste the Difference.” This slogan serves as the brand’s promise, delivering a culinary masterpiece through every pastry creation.
